Why I built this
I built this because I was her.
I've been the active one my whole life, and I got serious about strength and fitness in my early twenties. A big part of that was watching my mom live with chronic stress and a body that kept giving her trouble, and deciding I wanted to stay strong and independent for as long as I possibly could.
Then midlife showed up anyway. In my 40s, a fluke kayaking injury landed right as perimenopause did, and the habits that had always worked for me just stopped working. The weight, the brain fog, the sleep, the whole "who am I and who hijacked my body?" feeling. I went looking for answers and got no real help from my doctor, just the message that women have to work through it until it passes.
That's when this stopped being professional and got personal. There's real science now on what midlife does to our hormones, and there are answers. I'm not into perfection, fear mongering, or the 30-second video that swears one thing fixes everything. I'm into explaining what's actually going on in your body and building a plan that fits your life.
Don't give up on yourself just because someone said it's part of aging. It takes some work to get there, and it's totally worth it.
